Julie Babbage
As Principal and COO for Babbage Cofounder, Julie Babbage manages multiple client accounts and touches each industry within the wide collection of company causes. Advocacy has always been Julie’s passion, and she leads the team with her organizational skill set and government acumen.
A native of Lexington, Kentucky, Julie has enjoyed a lifelong front row seat in politics. Her earliest memories are of her dad’s campaign for Governor, and she has been interested in government ever since. Julie’s experience in the political arena is intentionally bipartisan, having interned for both Congressman Ben Chandler (D-KY-06) and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky) during her college years. As Representative Chandler's intern, Julie focused on press and media relations, ultimately writing speeches for the Congressman. Her time as Leader McConnell's Intern was spent working with the Legislative Coordinator for Foreign Affairs and Defense.
Julie is a graduate of Vanderbilt University with Honors, where she studied International Business, Human Development, Philosophy, and Spanish. After selecting the International Leadership and Development track at Vanderbilt, Julie won a prestigious internship in U.S. Embassy in London, England as Intern to the Ambassador for a full semester.
Her undergraduate coursework and collective internships primed Julie to join Deloitte as a Business Analyst in the Washington D.C. federal practice. There, she oversaw strategic change initiatives and organizational transformation at notable government agencies. Among her most significant projects was the establishment of a shared services center, working from GS7 employees through ranking merit employees and top political appointees to facilitate the transition. Her primary responsibilities included stakeholder engagement, leadership engagement, strategic communications, change champion identification, information session organization, and data gathering. Julie’s deft direction ensured that members across the organization were informed and effectively mobilized for participation in the largest transition in the agency’s history.
Following in her father’s footsteps, Julie chose to leave Deloitte and join Babbage Cofounder where she tirelessly advocates for clients throughout the Commonwealth and greater Washington area.
In D.C., Julie focuses on business development and relationship management with key members of Kentucky's Congressional delegation and the Executive Cabinet. Specifically, she has a strong relationship with Kentucky's own Elaine Chao, Department of Transportation Secretary, and Kelly Craft, the United States Ambassador to Canada.
Her work in Kentucky extends across industries represented by Babbage Cofounder in Frankfort, including but not limited to education, healthcare, manufacturing, finance, and technology.
